Graeme McDowell burned the hole that many times all week, including a final round 70, he could have done with a fire extinguisher at the RBC Heritage.

As such, McDowell managed just three birdies all day but also two bogeys to be in the clubhouse among the top-30.
But when you look at McDowell’s putting stats for the week he could have very well been in the top-10 needing 29 putts on day one, just 26 on day two, 30 on day three and then leaving his ball right in the jaws at the last on day four in taking 27 putts to average 28 over the four days.

“I just burned the hole so many times this week, so it turned into a pretty quiet week on the greens”, he said.
“From the word ’go’ on Thursday, I made nothing and then made one key putt on 11 on Friday to keep me going but overall just made nothing.
“They re-laid the greens a few years ago and there is a lot of double-breakers in them now but the good thing is I am trending in the right direction with the golf in good shape”.

“I am heading to San Antonio for this coming weeks Valero Texas Open and very much looking forward to the week”.
McDowell had his family waiting for him after his round and the first occasion all five, including his young son, Wills and making his first appearance at a tournament since being born last September.

And Shane Lowry was looking forward to getting home and see his now seven-week old daughter, Iris but after a disappointing final round of a one-over par 72 that handed the Irishman a share of 44th place after a closing 72.
Lowry had been well-placed on his debut in the event on day one following a 66 but a second day 75 spoilt his hopes.
“I have a week off and now just looking forward to getting home and seeing our daughter,” he said.
