Annabel Wilson (Lurgan) is the leading Irish challenger heading into the final day at the Helen Holm Scottish Women’s Open in Troon.
In all thirteen Irish players travelled to compete, with seven of them making the cut following two rounds on the Portland Course at Troon, and progressing to the final days play on the Old Course at Troon.
Wilson heads into the final day on a -3 total which is just four shots off the lead held by Sweden’s Linn Grant with Shannon McWilliam from Scotland in second place on -5.
Of the other Irish competitors, Chloe Ryan (UCD) is in 11th place on level par, Paula Grant (Lisburn) is T25th on +4, Mairead Martin (Kanturk) is T37 on +6, Valerie Clancy (Killarney) and Ciara Casey (Hermitage) are T46 on +7 while Sinead Sexton (Lahinch) was the final Irish player to make the cut on +8.
