It could be a winter of endless possibilities for Stuart Grehan after he put himself into a great position to progress to the Second Stage of DP World Tour Qualifying School.
Grehan shot a four-under 68 to move onto that mark and into the top-6 at First Stage Section F in Mottram Hall.
The Tullamore man has been in excellent form of late with a win and a third place finish on the EuroPro Tour in recent weeks meaning he heads into this month’s EuroPro Tour Championship in Lough Erne with a chance of promotion to the Challenge Tour if he can secure a top-5 Order of Merit spot.
If the 29-year-old can secure a Challenge Tour card then he can seriously attack DP World Tour Q-School knowing he already has a card in his back pocket.

The Sutton Nine Hole Matchplay champion was a late entry into the field and two closing birdies kept him in and around the qualifying places.
Ronan Mullarney, JR Galbraith and John Hickey are on six-over while Liam Grehan and Daniel Mulligan are plus nine.
Amateur Stephen Cunningham is a shot further back.
