Lurgan’s Annabel Wilson carded a superb three-under par round of 68 to grab a share of seventh at the Pac-12 Championships, as the Bruins tied for fifth as a team (+23, 875).
Sophomores Wilson and Emma Spitz finished inside the Top-10 for UCLA with Wilson’s three-under par 68 a season-low on Sunday. She made seven birdies on the par-5 first, 12th and 16th holes, the par-4 fifth, 11th and 18th and the par-3 eighth to go with two bogeys and a double. Wilson finished in a tie for seventh at one-under, one of just eight players to finish in red numbers.
Spitz tied for 10th (+1, 214). She made two birdies in her final round on the par-4 second and par-5 12th holes to go with six bogeys and a triple in a 7-over 78.
Junior Simar Singh tied for 27th (+12, 225). She made a trio of birdies on the par-5 first and 12th holes and the par-4 15th, adding three bogeys and two doubles in a 4-over 75. Sophomore Emilie Paltrinieri tied for 38th (+16, 229), making three birdies in a row to start her round on the par-5 first, par-4 second and par-3 third holes, adding another one on the par-5 seventh to go with seven bogeys and a double in a 5-over 76. Sophomore Yuki Yoshihara tied for 42nd (+17, 230). She made three birdies on the par-5 seventh, par-3 eighth and par-4 15th, adding five bogeys and a double in a 4-over 75.
The NCAA Selection Show for Regionals will air on GOLF Channel on Wednesday. Regional play will be held at four sites (Baton Rouge, La., Columbus, Ohio, Simpsonville, Ky and Stanford, Calif.). Each Regional will include 18 teams, with the top six teams advancing to the NCAA Championships.
