A new-look driving range has been unveiled at Ballyneety in Limerick which gives golfers access to state-of-the-art simulation technology being used by the game’s top players.

Ballyneety Driving Range has spent the winter improving its driving range facility and is now the first facility in Ireland to install pioneering TrackMan Range technology in 15 bays with each of these bays fitted with 27-inch touchscreens. As well as the Trackman Range, the Outdoor Range has been extended and now offers 16 outdoor bays, with lighting for the dark evenings.

TrackMan technology is trusted globally by the game’s top players, and visitors can now use it to virtually tee up at major championship venues like the Old Course at St Andrews, enjoy practice sessions and challenge friends in innovative game modes

The technology precisely measures each shot, giving instant feedback on ball data including speed, carry and total distance, launch angle, launch direction, and more. Information is displayed on an in-bay monitor and via the free mobile app which records all shot data in a player’s profile to review later.

“It is extremely exciting for us to be able to offer one of the most advanced technology driving ranges in the world to people in our region,” said Donal McSweeney, PGA Fellow Professional at Ballyneety.

“We would encourage anyone in the local area to come and try the technology. TrackMan Range features a wealth of game modes, and the Tour-proven technology is trusted by 92% of the world’s top 100 players. Our vastly upgraded facilities enable us to offer an extraordinary range experience either on the Trackman Range or our outdoor range, no matter a guest’s level of golfing ability.”

Ballyneety Driving Range is in the next few days launching Ireland’s first online booking system for all the bays. This makes it easy for all golfers to ensure they can have a bay of their choice, at a time that suits them with the amount of balls they like. All any golfer needs to do is click the “Book a Bay” on the website in the coming days.

The Range also has two state of the art Trackman 4 Studios, one of which can be used indoor or outdoor and are used by the four Pros for teaching and club fitting as well as private bay rental for golfers. Ballyneety over the years has become a fantastic Golf Complex with the 18 hole golf course, the hub, a walking track and an astro-turf pitch, and now the upgrade to the Driving Ranges makes Ballyneety one of the best facilities in the Mid-West Region.
