One of the most anticipated amateur golf tournaments on the calendar returns for 2020 with the first event of the International King’s Cup schedule set for Donegal Golf Club on Friday March 6th.
This summer will see the United States travel to Castlerock Golf Club to take on Team Ireland after the emerald side made the trip to the USA for the very first time last year. Both teams will stay at Roe Park Resort during tournament week from May 26-29.
The International Kings Cup, a three-day 54-hole amateur match play pairs tournament structured like the Ryder Cup, was formed in 2016 and is played in honour of golf’s greatest ambassador, Mr Arnold Palmer.
It’s a pairs event like no other and is unique in that there are four flights of handicap and within each flight, two teams will qualify under two age brackets – 18+ and Seniors 55+
All players must hold a GUI/ILGU handicap. Entries cost £35/ €35 for members. £55/ €55 for visitors.
