One of Ireland’s leading providers of golf club management and maintenance services, Carr Golf has signed a five-year golf course maintenance contract with Donabate Golf Club in Co. Dublin. The deal follows a recent multi-year course maintenance contract award from Ballyneety Golf Club in Co. Limerick. 

When commenting on the contract, a delighted Ed Pettit, Managing Director of the Carr Golf Maintenance Division said:

“Our relationship with Donabate Golf Club began with initial meetings almost a decade ago. Following a review of golf course standards and presentation in September 2018, we’re delighted that discussions led to our engagement in a long-term contract to help the Committee realise its vision for the course.  

The club has made tremendous progress in recent years to improve facilities, with the development of a new practice ground and short game area, and the addition of an on-site tennis club. The progressive Committee and member mindset at Donabatematch that at Carr Golf. Our team of agronomic experts will work closely with the club to realise our shared objectives, which I am confident will secure a bright future for the Golf Club.” 

Carr Golf Regional Superintendent Aindriu Jackson will oversee a team managed by Head Green Keeper Robbie Moore, delivering a comprehensive maintenance plan that will include an enhanced nutritional programme to help transform playing surfaces. Donabate will also benefit from access to new machinery secured during Carr Golf’s recent €750,000 investment in new Jacobsen and Toro maintenance equipment, purchased on behalf of its clients at a bulk discount via local agents Broderick Grass Machinery and Reesink.

We have developed a strong working relationship with Ed, Aindriu and Robbie with a shared vision to improve the quality and presentation of our course.
