The time of year has arrived when the new school and college year begins and focus switches from Championship to Interclub golf. As the final events of the 2019 season approach, the Women and Girls’ Order of Merit tables have been confirmed.
Lisburn’s Paula Grant secured the Women’s Order of Merit for a third year as she posted significant finishes at the Irish Women’s Close, the Irish Women’s Open Stroke Play and the Welsh Women’s Open Stroke Play.
Grant ultimately finished with 310 point cushion ahead of Clandeboye’s Jessica Ross when her Scratch Cup Circuit points total was added.

The Girls’ Amateur was the deciding event that crowned Elm Park’s Anna Foster the Girls’ Order of Merit winner for the first time.
Her consistent play throughout the year ensured a 131.25 point lead ahead of Kirkistown Castle’s Beth Coulter.
The pair will be joined by Lahinch’s Aine Donegan at the World Junior Championships in Canada next month and Foster will also travel to the Faldo Series Grand Finals in Abu Dhabi in November.

The Senior Women’s Order of Merit has been dominated by The Island’s Gertie McMullen in recent years. McMullen has topped the table on the last three occasions but currently lies in 5th position with one event remaining.
Laura Webb, 2018 Senior Women’s Amateur Champion, leads the way on 890 points, 332 ahead of Alison Taylor.
The Irish Senior Women’s Open at Carlow from September 11 – 13 will determine the next winner of the Senior Women’s Order of Merit.
