Seamus Power is projected to slip one spot in the FedEx Cup Fall standings but remains on course to book his spot in two of the PGA Tour Signature Events in 2025.

Power dug deep on Friday to secure two more rounds at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, where he won in 2022, and a third round of 71 where he birdied three of his last six holes has given him some momentum heading into Sunday.

The West Waterford man is still way back on three-under-par, a distant thirteen shots behind Andrew Novak and Rafael Campos, but he will be looking to sign off the week on a positive note ahead of the RSM Classic.

Power is projected to lie in 55th place at the conclusion of this event with the players ranked 51-60 booking spots in the Genesis Invitational at Riviera and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am while a win for any other player not already exempt would also stamp a ticket to the Sentry Tournament of Champions in the New Year.

The two-time PGA Tour winner, who has enjoyed a fruitful spell in the FedEx Cup fall series started his third round well with an opening birdie on the 10th hole but endured a rocky period with three bogeys in a row from he 14th.

He regained all of those lost shots with birdies on the 3rd, 7th and 8th as he finished with a flourish.

Novak and Campos both share the lead on sixteen-under after third rounds of 62 with Justin Lower tucked away in third just one shot shy after a 68 that included a closing bogey.

29-year-old Novak is chasing a life changing maiden PGA Tour victory and credited a hot putter for getting him into this position as he looks to convert his second 54-hole lead.

“I missed a lot of putts the first two rounds and hit a good shot into 1, made probably a 12-footer or so, that just kind of got it going, seeing ’em go in, kind of kept it rolling and just got hot.”

Campos, 36, is also searching for his first win on the PGA Tour.

“I really am happy about the last couple days, especially today. Yesterday was no wind but today was a real test on some of the holes into the wind.

“What went right today. I was really fortunate the short game was really on point today. It’s been quite some time I haven’t felt as comfortable chipping, but I had a couple chip-ins today and the putter rolled really well, S.o I think that started giving me a lot more confidence in just understanding and knowing that let’s just try to give ourselves some looks, don’t do anything kind of stupid, give yourself chances and I started seeing a lot of them fall in. It was a great day, to tell the truth. It was really fun to battle out there like the course, the elements and really happy it turned out the way it did.”
