Augusta National has advised that prize money for the 2022 Masters is up on last year to a new record-setting $15m (Euro 13.8m).

As well, the winner of the 86th Masters will take home the largest first prize in Masters history – a cool $2.7m (Euro 2.482m) – and that’s up from $2.07m that Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama pocketed a year ago.

Runner-up at Augusta National will be handed $1.61m while the player who finishes third (and on his own) will also drive out the front gates a millionaire with a prize of $1.02m

The player who finishes 50th and last in the field, will be handed $37,800 while those who missed the cut will get some ‘beer money’..
