Supporting a charitable event is a great way take part and play golf while raising funds for the charity and Kildare based children’s charity Barretstown hosting a golf day to help them raise funds to continue their great work.

Barretstown provides specialised camps and programmes for children with serious illnesses and their families and will host a charity Golf Day on Friday 7th September at Craddockstown Golf Club in Naas.  All golfers are encouraged to enter to support the children’s charity and the competition will be made up of teams of four with a number of challenges during the event especially for competitive participants, such as ‘Beat the Pro’, ‘Longest Drive’ and ‘Nearest the Pin’.

If you’re not in a position to attend, you can still support the event as a sponsor or perhaps advertise through hole or prize sponsorship.

Speaking ahead of the event Dee Ahearn, CEO of Barretstown said: “Barretstown will provide its medically-endorsed camps to over 6,000 seriously ill children and their families this year, completely free of charge. Fundraising events such as this Golf Day are vital in helping us to continue to provide our service. While our need to raise money is serious, we are also all about fun, and we really look forward to welcoming all of our supporters for an enjoyable day, kindly supported by our neighbours at Craddockstown Golf Club.”

Event details:

  • Four person team
  • €400 per team including dinner
  • Raffle will be held on the day
