France’s Theo Boulet extended his lead at the Irish Boys Amateur Open at Belvoir Park to two shots after a best of the day third round of 67.

Boulet went into the third round one stroke ahead of Lisburn’s Joshua Robinson and Welshman Archie Davis with Robinson dropping back after a 72 and Davis losing ground with a 68 as the Top 50 and ties made it to the final round with the cut falling at twelve over par.

Ireland’s Joseph Byrne (Baltinglass), did his chances no harm at all with a 69 which leaves him in tied third, six off the pace and tied with Robinson on two under.

Also inside the Top 10 are Joshua McCabe from Roganstown who added a 71 to his opening rounds of 69 and 74, Tom McKibbin (Holywood) who returned cards of 73, 71, 73 to leave him on four over, tied with Athenry’s David Kitt.
