Lisburn’s Paula Grant is now the leading Irish contender at the 88th edition of the Portuguese Ladies Amateur Championship.

Grant carded a third round 80 to claim a share of 12th position on 20 over par, a full twelve shots behind current leader, England’s Annabel Fuller.

The teenager had managed to break 80 on the first two days but even her brave resistance came to an end today.
