The USA team took control at the Arnold Palmer Cup yesterday as the match moved into the singles stages.

All square after the first two rounds at 5 all the USA took 9.5 of the 10 available points in the first round of singles matches yesterday to have a comfortable 14.5 to 5.5 lead heading into the final singles round today.

The USA never really looked in any danger and most of the matches weren’t close.  Ireland’s Stuart Grehan put on a solid display though and only went down 2&1 to his opponent Sam Burns.

It’s going to take a huge effort and some magnificent golf if the European Team are to even put some respectability on the scoreline but after the almost whitewash of yesterday there is no doubt they will be out for revenge.
