Spaces remain for you to kick off the weekend with a bang with Irish Golfer Events as the Series stops off at the magical Lough Erne Resort this Friday, July 7.
Lough Erne has been reaping the rewards of significant investment and is sure to prove a major hit with Irish Golfer competitors looking to test their game against a proper Championship layout.
The course rose two places to 43 in our list of top-100 courses in Ireland for 2023, with the glowing blurb highlighting ‘a colourful lakeland adventure designed by Nick Faldo and wrapped around a top class resort in Fermanagh. The shorelines of two loughs play host to a feast of holes – the short par four 10th most notably – and these combine with forest, high ridges and dramatic tee shots to give you a big day out.’
As always, in addition to the €5,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, a spot at Lough Erne will come with all the usual Irish Golfer trimmings such as first tee announcements, a welcome gift of a two-ball pack of TaylorMade Tour response golf balls, an Irish Golfer branded hat, nutritional snacks, drinks and branded tees and pencils.
2022 was a record season for Irish Golfer Events as we swept across the country to sold out venues before the Series concluded last October at the Grand Final in the K Club.
This year’s prizes are headlined by the new and improved TaylorMade Stealth 2 with our usual three categories returning to fight for the spoils (Men up to 11 Handicap Index, Men 12-24 H.I. and Ladies up to 36 H.I.), plus the added bonus of Nearest the Pin competitions boasting killer prizes.
As ever, competitions are singles stableford and are open to all players with a Golf Ireland handicap index. With 12 guaranteed prize winners sharing over €5,000 worth of prizes at each event, don’t miss your chance to be part of Ireland’s largest amateur golf series. The three category winners from each event will also qualify for the Grand Final back at the K Club where we will crown our Irish Golfer Champion for 2023.
And if you don’t qualify for the Grand Final as one of the category winners from the events automatically, you can still qualify through the Flogas Order of Merit. Your best four scores across the year will be counted and the Top 10 players not already qualified for the Grand Final will win a place at the Grand Final 2023. So what are you waiting for?
Entry is for €60 for members of host clubs or €75 for guests.
