US Open Champion and Skechers’ brand ambassador, Matt Fitzpatrick will make a statement at The 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews this week with two custom pairs of Skechers GO GOLF Pro 5 Hyper golf shoes.

Fitzpatrick collaborated with Skechers to provide design direction for each pair which pays tribute to the rich tradition of The Open Championship.

One of the most advanced styles in Skechers’ line-up of golf footwear to-date, the Skechers GO GOLF Pro 5 Hyper integrates comfort technologies from the brand’s award-winning running and lifestyle divisions, and key insights from the company’s roster of Skechers Performance tour pros.

Fitzpatrick’s footwear options for this historic event, feature two custom colourways one in white and one navy. The Skechers Pro 5 Hyper primary colourway in white features a Tartan heel overlay and pull tab. The shoe also includes a Speckled Hyper Burst midsole inspired by colours of The Open and Diamond traction plate with Performance S logo. There is also a personal touch added for Fitzpatrick as the insole boasts the logo of his beloved Sheffield United Football Club.

This spiked golf shoe comes with an abundance of unique performance features designed to help golfers get the most out of the game. The comfort and performance technology that comes with the Skechers GO GOLF Pro 5 Hyper provides support golfing elite rely on. Along with the white option, Matt’s Open line up also includes a stylish Navy option. This also pays homage to the rich tradition of the 150th Open Championship with colours throughout the diamond traction plate outsole and the Performance “S” on the sidewall of the upper.

Matt Fitzpatrick will tee off at 2.59pm on the first day of the 150th Open Championship alongside Tiger Woods and four-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa.
