Interface-1 highlights the Galvin Green 2018 Part 1 collection

Galvin Green use the slogan “We Never Compromise” and as expected, its new 2018 Part One collection optimises the brand’s core principals. The new collection sees the introduction one of the most versatile garments they have ever created with the new Interface-1 hybrid range of jackets.

 Totally windproof, water repellent and highly breathable, the lightweight Interface-1 garments come in a variety of stretch, padded and sleeveless styles to meet every golfer’s needs. They combine the latest in outerwear technologies with proven body-mapping systems and design features that make it possible to wear in 95 out of 100 rounds played in standard weather conditions.
 
As an extremely soft and stretchy Shell hybrid layer, the new Interface-1 acts as a high-performance link between traditional mid-layer garments and the outer layer of the pioneering Multi-Layer Concept first introduced by Galvin Green more than a decade ago.
“If a golfer had to choose one garment to take out on the course for protection against the elements while offering maximum comfort in the swing, then an Interface-1 jacket ticks all the boxes,” said Creative Director Mats Lundqvist.
“It has taken us two years to develop and there is nothing like it on the market for all-round qualities that make it more comfortable to play golf and easier to interact with the weather conditions that may arise. Quite simply, Interface-1 represents the DNA of versatility and we believe its introduction has opened up an entirely new dimension in golf equipment,” he added.
 
Galvin Green is not limiting the choice of Interface-1 garments to a single style, a small colour selection or just a few sizes in its 2018 Part One collection. It’s offering the new range in seven different models and ten colour options for men (S-3XL) and six distinctive lines and seven colourway choices for women (XS-XL).
 
Spearheading the men’s range are the lightweight LANCE full-zip jacket (RRP of €270 and weighing just 250g) pictured below.
 
 
The LARS is a short sleeve version (RRP of €240 and weighing 220g). Both 3-layer garments are made from a stretchy polyester knit with a breathable polyurethane (PU) membrane laminated on the back side of the outer fabric. Protecting the membrane on the inside is a finer layer with a carbon print structure. LENNOX half-zip jacket (RRP of €240 and weighs 320g), LEON full zip jacket (RRP of €280 and weighing 400g) and LENNY full zip, sleeveless body warmer (RRP of €220 and weighing 250g) are all 3-layer fabric constructions with a moisture transporting backer. The outer fabric is a lightweight polyester knit with a breathable polytetrafluorethylene (ePTFE) membrane laminated on the back of the surface. On the inside of the membrane is the third laminated layer – a light polyester knit that holds air inside to create added warmth.
 
The LARRY full zip jacket (RRP of €350 and weighing 350g) and LOGAN full zip body warmer (RRP of €250 and weighing 285g) are made from a woven polyamide fabric on the body surface, while inside they feature light and soft PRIMALOFT padding that holds in the air and adds a lot of warmth. On the inside of the padding is a light polyester knit with a breathable ePTFE membrane laminated onto it.
All the Interface-1 jackets incorporate an elastic drawstring at the hem to adjust for comfort, plus spring-loaded zipper pullers. The LANCE, which comes in four colour options, also features a pocket high on the left sleeve.
