2020 Wilson Staff Model Forged Wedges

Building on the success of the PMPs, the all-new Staff Model Forged wedges offer everything you would expect in a premium forged short game weapon, including a CNC machined face and grooves to maximize volume for pushing moisture and debris away from the strike point and to increase surface roughness.

The wedge has a very soft feel thanks to a forged 8620 Carbon Steel construction, along with a Wilson Staple: a Fluid Feel insert at the base of the head.

As for technology, the Wilson Staff Forged have an all-new weight muscle positioned high in the toe to move the center of gravity higher in the higher-lofted wedges to take advantage of gear effect and increase spin on both full and partial shots. The Wilson Staff Model wedges create Tour-calibre spin and control when needed most.

Incorporating True Temper Dynamic Gold 120 steel shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips, the wedges are available in 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, and 60-degree options, plus 52, 56, and 60-degree options are available for left-handed players.

Wilson Staff Model High-Toe

The Wilson Staff Model Hi Toe wedge combines a high toe and wide sole with a 431 stainless steel head and a precision-milled face for ultimate creativity around the green. The face shape allows the club to be played at varying degrees of open and closed configurations, providing complete control over the amount of face that makes contact with the ball.

Machine-engraved scorelines across the whole milled face feature a higher density pattern for a more consistent contact at impact, resulting in maximum spin and control on every shot.

The Wilson Staff Model Hi-Toe wedges come in 56 and 60-degree options also featuring True Temper Dynamic Gold 120 steel shaft and a Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip.

“These new Wilson Staff Model and Staff Model Hi Toe wedges deliver a clean design and precision milled clubfaces to give golfers a boost in confidence in their short game,” said Jon Pergande, Global Manager of Innovation.

“Designed with the feedback from our Wilson Staff PGA Tour players, including US Open Champion Gary Woodland and Ryder Cup Captain Padraig Harrington, both wedges look very different, but provide golfers the same control and greater consistency, while offering different shot-making capabilities,” he added.

The Wilson Staff Model and Hi Toe wedges will be available in January at an RRP of £109/€125 each.
