It’s been a case of too many double bogeys for Brendan Lawlor but he still managed to make the cut after 36 holes at the ISPS HANDA All Abilities Australian Championship at Kingston Heath.

Lawlor is in fifth place on ten-over after a second successive round of 77 that once again featured two double bogeys.

The Carton House man was just one over for his round as he headed down the closing stretch but double bogeys at 16 and 17 undid all his good work.

On a day of tough scoring, Lawlor is sixteen shots adrift of Korea’s Simon Seungmin Lee.

Lee carded the only under par round of the day with a sensational round of 67 to surge into the lead on six-under.

Serial winner on the G4D Tour Kipp Popert trails by six shots after a one-over 73 saw him slip back to level-par.
